Collinder 404
The center of the cluster is estimated to be about 2 million years old, making it one of the youngest open clusters in our vicinity. The stars toward the outer regions are even younger. Composition — The cluster is dominated by bright, young, blue‑white stars of O‑ and B‑type. At its core lies a system of massive stars, comparable to the Trapezium in the Orion Nebula.
