IC 3583 is a small irregular galaxy located in the Virgo Cluster. It appears as a faint,
diffuse patch of light with an asymmetric shape, typical of low-mass galaxies undergoing
environmental effects within the dense cluster. The galaxy shows signs of tidal interaction,
likely influenced by nearby massive members such as M86 and M84.
IC 3583 is often imaged together with the bright elliptical galaxies of the Virgo Cluster,
where it stands out as a subtle but interesting companion object. Deep imaging reveals its
uneven structure and low surface brightness, making it a challenging target that highlights
the diversity of galaxies within the Virgo Cluster.
