Caldwell 28 is a large and loosely bound open cluster in the constellation Andromeda.
It contains many older, yellowish stars and spans a wide area of the sky, making it best observed
with low magnification or wide‑field imaging. Its dispersed structure suggests the cluster is in
an advanced stage of dissolution.
The two bright stars at the bottom of the photo belong to STFA 4.
