Caldwell 33 – NGC 6992

Caldwell 33 is part of the Eastern Veil Nebula, a bright filamentary structure within the larger Cygnus Loop supernova remnant. The delicate strands of ionized gas trace the shock front of a massive stellar explosion that occurred thousands of years ago.
