1986Building the dome
Ten steps, in the order they happened: from the first sketch of a mould to the finished, painted polyester shell.
1986The round observatory
A round wall to carry the new dome, with a curved door frame and a floor that stands free of the walls to keep vibration away from the telescope.
1987The square observatory
The round building made way for a larger one in brick. The two stood side by side for a while before the first was taken down.
1999–2025Later additions
Separate projects, each carrying its own year. Work still continues.
